When I try to run make, the first few files compile OK, and then I get lots of errors about incompatible pointer types and undeclared constants(?). Nevertheless, I'm trying to compile the source, although I'm not very experienced with compiling kernel modules. The manufacturer website has source code to download, but the instructions are for Debian-type distros only. I haven't had any luck in finding any rpm packages for the WiFi driver (are there any?). I have been issued with the following USB WiFi dongle:Īlthough lsusb detects the dongle, the Gnome WiFi setup tool doesn't seem to see it. I have been asked to setup a desktop computer running Scientific Linux 7.6 (our supported distro), but this computer will be needed to be able to connect to the internet using WiFi, rather than ethernet.
